Day 4 of Seoul - Ihwa Mural Village & Gwangjang Market

took subway to Hyehwa station, exit 1, walk in the opposite direction, turn left.. if lost, ask any convenient store assistant.. =P

after walking 2 rounds in the cold, we finally found Miss Lee cafe...another highly recommended cafe based on review on the net...

Miss Lee also feel cold and had a matchy matchy sweater/shawl on her...

notes attached to the lamp above our table...

and more notes all over the cafe

this cafe shot to fame after it was featured in a famous idol drama where Yong Hwa from CNBlue, a funny guy who often appears in running man, and his love interest in the show went on a date there...

the concept of the metal lunch box which the cafe is famous for is so interesting...

but much to our dismay, there's only 2 main dishes to choose from.... we dun take beef...so the metal lunch box was out... mr ang dun take spice so the stir fried rice cake was also out... in the end, we ordered only a dessert cos we were too paiseh to just walk out of the cafe without ordering anything... and especially so after we spent 15 minutes taking pictures around the cafe.... =P

we were starving.... so chop chop ate our dessert and went looking for our main dish in a japanese restaurant along the way.... wahahahaha

then we were off for our hunt for street art from exit 2 of Hyehwa station...

we sort of took the wrong path and ended up hiking up Nansam Park .... which was not too bad....

so many people queuing to take a "I was here" pic on the flower staircase ... we no like crowds nor do we like stairs so we gave it a miss... heee....

can tell who's mr ang's favorite character?

the cold weather was really not suitable for us to be outdoor for long and somehow the street art here dun really attract me...

so we headed to our next destination... walk walk walk down the slope ... walk walk walk turn left and somehow we reached Gwangjang market, the oldest surviving traditional market in Seoul...

and then it was munch munch time for Mr Ang again....

live octopus... i think it was for the squirming dish that still moves when eaten.....

so many different variety of kimchi

did Isaac toast took inspiration from here???

pardon my giggling at the end cos Mr Ang just displayed one of his cute moments of wanting to share his shoppings with the auntie when all the auntie wanted was to help him clear his rubbish

Anyway, we were so tired from the tons of walking that we just had a simple ginseng chicken dinner across our apartment which was nothing much to rave about... oopx....

Ihwa Mural Village is one of my fav place I visited in Seoul!
I went there with a tour: Fortress Wall of Seoul Tour (http://www.onedaykorea.com/tours/fortress-wall-of-seoul-tour/) and it was really good! The atmosphere, the art.. everything!! We also went to the seoul fortress, the views were beautiful! I had a great experience with this tour! ^o^
