The whole of term 1 with my tooty two twos was on creating portraits of their love ones using oil pastels.
I used Picasso's "Maya with her Doll" painted in 1938 to teach about having different perspectives on the same 2D plane.
and further illustrated it with this pic that i found online too....
The kiddos had fun creating their own Picasso inspired portraits of their love ones and laughing at each other's work as well....=S
I am pretty impressed with some of their work.... the artwork of younger kids are usually more vibrant and are happy to look at... =)
and the little artists were oh so very de happy and proud when they saw their artwork being displayed along the staircase.... =)
