My CCAs as a student

started off with gymnastic class when i was in P3.... lasted only a few weeks as it was just too expensive to carry on.... it cost about $25 a month (why was i even paying for CCA???) and within these first few week, the instructor already made us buy gymnastic ball, ribbons and even hula hoop....

i quit after getting the ball.... this CCA was just too expensive for me.... =S....

then i was in athletic, just because it was at 3+ on a Friday afternoon, created an opportunity for the 4 of us to pop by Thomson Yahoo Wywy game centre in between school dismissal and CCA... =).... but soon, it got a little bored with just running around our pathetic school field that all 4 of us decided to just disappear from our CCA and extended the time we spent at wywy before heading off for home...=P

it was only when the school make CCA compulsory for all P6 pupils that i finally settled for science club where i had to complete project after project just to earn a botanist badge..... and this was where i met mei who later on was in the same class with me at HIHS... =)

it was compulsory for all HIHS pupils to have a sport and a club CCA... both mei and i went for the trial for badminton.... both failed to get in and ended up in volleyball ...a sport which i believe that none of us managed to master.... heee....

transferred to RSS in sec two and got conned into st john ambulance brigade.... hate marching in the sun, hate having to do change parade, hate getting bullied by childish seniors who thought that making juniors do degrading punishments and activities were fun and were considered team bonding, hate having to polish my shoes, basically hate everything except one about st john...luv the fact that i could be on duty during cross country .... no need to run the 3.2km every year ...=)

was also in modern dance.... a new CCA created by my then sec 2 form teacher and miraculously, i was just enrolled without my knowledge by the girl who conned me in into st john on the day when i was on ML....diao.... but i was glad....cos it means no more st john....woohoo....

although without any dance background, i grew to love dancing and performed in my very first SYF....the troupe managed to get a bronze on our first attempt which was pretty awesome la....

(with choir singers and chinese dancers on Speech Day)

went on to join chinese orchestra in CJ to learn how to play the yang qin ....

i was super not musically incline.....i didnt know when my yang qin was totally out of tune and needed tunning... even my instructor was super amazed that i could still play the whole song when my yang qin was totally off key.... hahahha.... another amazing thing was that i dun need to look at the scoresheet when i performed.... i couldnt multi task with looking at the score, listening to my orchestra mates and playing the instrument all at the same time.... i ended up memorising the whole song so that i would only need to listen and play... despite all the difficulties, i learnt how to play 2 songs in my 1.5 years in the CCA....hahahahaha......

i was also in the 24th student council.... my first experience of going for an interview with the teachers-in-charge, giving a speech in front of the whole school, giving out M&Ms to pull votes....

(with fellow council mates during investiture)

love the bond we had as a council, love the privilege of the council room and locker, love planning for orientation and after exam program, love investiture, love council camp, basically love everything about it....even the shitty stuff... hahahaha

one of my council mates was very into dancing and started a dance troupe in the beginning of year 2 just for the SYF... she invited me into the dance troupe and despite not having any teacher-in-charge and instructor, we secured a bronze... =)  ....

that's all for CCAs in my life as a student...=).... moving on to CCAs as a teacher.... =)
